I grew up in San Leandro when my two sons Billy and Trevor where born and raised in San Leandro .A When I was growing up there was always somewhere to go play a sport, whether it was football, basketball or baseball. All summer long the kids of San Leandro always knew where the games where. When my sons (30 and 36), where younger, and prop.13 came into effect, they lost a lot of the programs that I was privileged to have participated. Luckily the Boys Club wasn’t as popular or as overcrowded as it is now. I have wanted to do something like this for several years now, but was confined do to so because of coaching the Girls Basketball program, and all the time it took me to run that program.

My hope is to make memories for the new generation of San Leandro kids. The only way I know how to do that is through sports. O.H.P Foundation is also going to introduce tutoring for the kids as I firmly believe we need to work hand in hand to not only build strong bodies but also strong minds.
